How to read baby books to your newborn.
Search
for brightly colored baby books with
simple images and plenty of rhythm. Include baby books that show pictures and
names of objects they know. As you read, point out the objects and make sure
your infant sees all the things that are fun to do with baby books. Change the
tone of your voice, nursery rhymes should be sung, bounce your infant on your
knee, make funny faces, do whatever it takes to hold your baby's attention.
Let your infant to touch and hold cloth and sturdy cardboard baby books. Read
books as often as you can but do not read too long. Babies have a
difficulty maintaining their attention. What babies want to hear is your
voice. The more you read the more they will associate the pleasure they
find in your voice with the pleasure they receive from the stimuli of the baby
books.
